What happens in the middle of your organization matters most.

This site is just getting started. I'm building this as my place to write and share: observations, learnings, and insights from the work. More coming soon.

I spent 25 years inside large organizations, most of them at Microsoft, leading teams, running strategy, and learning what it takes to make groups of smart people actually work well together, with a special focus on managers who lead from the middle of an organization. I now work to bring that experience to others.

Today I work as a coach, facilitator, and organizational development consultant. I deliver the most value when I work in-house on longer engagements: coaching managers, facilitating teams to have the right conversations, and helping leadership teams find the right tone and course of action to move their organization forward.

I'm drawn to the dynamics that most people feel but few name; the unspoken operating agreements, the gap between what a team says and what it does, the tension between ambition and daily reality. My job is to make those dynamics visible and workable.

When I'm not working with teams, I'm on a bike, behind a camera, or writing about what I see.
